An Idiot's P.O.V.

 I don't know that there's a better trilogy than Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saga. What begins with the simple origins of the Batman, and continues with the tale of his fight with his most legendary adversary, and ends with all-out war in the streets for the soul of Gotham is quite possibly the most complete trilogy we've ever gotten but also, one of the best superhero/crime/action/whatever you want to label these movies as trilogies.  The Dark Knight Rises is badass because it adapts the breaking of the bat, it adapts No Man's Land, and it does it all pretty damn well in the context of the universe that it's in. Batman has been out of the game for 8 years. Bruce Wayne has been a shut in at his mansion for that entire time.
