WWE vs. AEW

This one is going to be a short post. The wrestling landscape is ever-changing. I just started watching AEW a few weeks ago, and I've been watching every taping of WWE and AEW for the past month. After AEW Double or Nothing..as a life long fan of WWE...AEW is kicking way more ass than whatever WWE is pushing.

AEW is harder hitting, has way less interferences, and just all around seems like a more professional product while WWE is attempting to be more of a combat circus. AEW seems to be more about adding an aspect of realism to professional wrestling...not sports entertainment which is what WWE has shifted to...but Professional Wrestling. There's more violence, harder hits, and the wrestlers seem to know the craft so well I'm seeing things I've never seen in a ring. Komander's use of ropes is some of the best lucha libre I've ever seen.

I'm going to keep updating throughout the year as I watch everything both companies have to offer.

One last thing...the security guards during the North American championship on NXT seriously hurt WWE's reputation for me (outside of the horrible Saturday Night Main Event ((I agree whole-heartedly with Jesse Ventura)) ). All Ego Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are amazingly talented wrestlers and the security guards constantly getting involved to stop the match so that we could get a definitive answer just pissed me off. What's more of a definitive answer to the winner of a match...then having a damn match for someone to win. Seriously, what was the fucking point of security guards preventing guys from fighting each other...so that they didn't hurt each other...because they were supposed to fight each other and find out who was the definitive winner. This was one of the stupidest fucking angles I've ever seen.

Imagine this shit happening during the middle of an "I Quit" match between Stone Cold Steven Austin and Bret The Hitman Hart. "Hey guys...stop fighting so that we can figure out who is going to be the definitive winner. Don't hurt each other too hard or we're going to continue to get in between you and prevent you from doing the thing...we're all here to witness." One of the worst fucking matches I've ever seen in my life and that was after the mostly meh' NXT Battleground.

Hangman Adam Page vs. Will Ospreay was one of the greatest matches I've ever seen. Imagine now security guards just breaking up the match and holding them back from fighting and saying, "Hey guys...we need to know which one is going to win, so don't fight each other, because that would result in us finding out who the winner is."

WWE talent are definitely great at cutting promos, but when it comes to the overall product, AEW is right now the far superior show.
